Taxi-ed to the city's largest lake. Our taxi driver was flirting non-stop to someone on the phone. Awkward. This lake is also known as Lake of Mist and Big Lake. There are 2 legends about the lake. Legend 1: The lake was created when the Dragon King drowned an evil 9-tailed fox in the forest. Asia loves their 9-tailed fox stories.
Legend 2: There was a Vietnamese Buddhist monk who did a great service to the Emperor of China. The Emperor gave him lots of bronze in return. The monk made a huge bell with the bronze and can be heard even in China. A golden buffalo calf thought the ringing was it's mom's call. The calf ran and trampled the area which later turned into the lake today.

At the lake there were so many men just hanging out and fishing. It was weird to see them fishing. They don't fish the way I've seen Westerners fish. It's hard to explain. There's no reel or anything.

After the lake we went to Hanoi Hilton and then had lunch. Then we got some milk tea and just decided to just sit and chat. We chatted for about 1hr? 2hr? I forget. Headed back to the hostel to meet up with Valentin.
