- Sherlock Holmes and Dr Who
Jul 30, 2013
Anyways, I headed to
the Sherlock Holmes Museum one day, I got lost a few times. I couldn't figure
out where I was on my handy dandy map when I got out of the Underground. I'm
not a pro metro user so that's my excuse. When I eventually was going the right
way, I realized that the whole world was a fan of this man! The line was longer
than the Harry Potter one at Platform 9 3/4!

At Heathrow Airport,
I had some time to kill so I was just walking around when I saw what looked
like a Dalek. I walked towards it and sure enough, there was the Tardis. I got
a bit excited.
Luckily the gift shop
was next door. I asked the ladies about the line, who were in costume, and they
said that if I buy a ticket, I would def get in. But that I would just have to
wait in line. Not wanting to waste the day waiting in line, I decided to just skip
it. I know.. There's always next time!
The place was filled with a lot of
trinkets that I would not know what to do with...
And the hats..
I admit, I had never
heard of Doctor Who til I moved to Korea and met a whole bunch of UK kids who
swore that it was the greatest show on earth. Maybe it is? It's been on for
quite some time (since 1963ish). I mean really? I thought they were making
those weird English jokes that Americans don't get. But seriously, its been on
for a LONG time. I decided to give it a try and I was told to start from the
2005 series with the 9th Doctor. So I did and now I am a fan.

The lady there was
talking to someone so I just went inside the Tardis and found that it was a
photobooth. Score! There were about 8 diff scenes that you could choose from
and email to yourself. I chose the one with just the Doctor even though he's
not my fav Doctor. Anyways, I wish I had taken photos with all the scenes bc I
think it would've been hilarious. I remember there was one with the Doctor and
his companion, a Daleks invasion type thing, one that looked like you were on
Mars, one with just the Tardis in space... I can't remember the rest. If you're
gonna be in Heathrow, go look for it!
