i dont know if korea is the only country where its ok for students and teachers to have each others' phone numbers. i freaked out when i found out the students got a hold of my number.
i seriously thought i needed to change my number only to be told that it was nothing serious and it might be a good thing. good thing: great way for me to learn reading and writing korean and great way for the students to practice reading and writing their english = win-win right? sure. only in korea.

the one downside about this is that you dont know when your students will text you. i say text bc 90% of the time students will only text you.
today, ive been up since 5am bc one of the students decided it was the perfect time to welcome me back to korea! kinda sweet but maybe not this early in the morning... i can always count on Jae Seung to do something like this...
on another note: i havent slept with a blanket since april. it was a little chilly last night
