1. there was a lot of hand shaking going on. it felt like people were meeting each other for the 1st time or something. kinda threw me off a bit 

3. found out that we have next week off thanks to the technical high school competition being held at our school. preeeetty sweeeet! 

4. to my surprise, some of the seniors whom i taught over the summer ecstatically screamed and waved in the hallways: jennipuhhhh teeeeacheeeer! hiiiii! he explained with limited english and body language that the 21 seniors were only going to be at school until september. their friends (whom i did not teach) were all very shocked that they were having a 'conversation' with me in 'english'. lol 

5. walking to the 1st and 2nd year building to teach, a group of 1st year students (my kids) were standing in a line at the entrance with their hands folded in front of them. kinda weird. i looked back to see if the principal was walking behind me or something. no one there. i gave them my confused face and they all smiled, bowed and said: welcome teacher! hiii! they were waiting for me! awww soooo cute!!! then they all ski-daddled back to their classrooms bc the bell had rang 2mins ago. lol

6. all last semester, this particular student kept reminding me that i was darker than your average korean. no duh, im filipino. lol

he must have been having too much fun in the sun bc he is now officially darker than me and of course i had to let him know! bwahahaha! how did i let him know? i placed my arm right next to his and smiled. of course everyone in class happened to be watching and all you could hear was a big burst of laughing! got'cha!

then i asked if he ever got his bike (not bicycle). he said: yes, i show you. to which he pulled out his phone and showed me a photo of him and his friends with their multi-colored bicycles. then he said: upgrade. and showed me photos of his newly owned bike. i think i would call it a mo-ped. its between a bicycle and a motorcycle. 

7. a lot of my students were eager to tell me about all the sexy girls they saw over the summer. they were also keener than ever to point out who the cassanova (player) was. regardless if its true or not, it was pretty funny to see some of them turn red and frantically say: no teacher! not real! while flailing their arms everywhere. 

8. to my utter disappointment: the mural at the schools main entrance was painted over with blank white paint. i enjoyed looking at that mural. now ill just see a big white nothing. hopefully theyll paint something on it....

9. 1 of the teachers in my office is leaving at the end of this month which basically means her last day is this friday since we wont have school next week. shes getting transferred. shes such a sweet teacher. she even visited me on one of the summer days and gave me this magic ring set thing. she said if i ever got bored i could entertain myself with it. i didnt tell her but i only played with it the day she gave it to me. lol on a brighter note: we will be getting a new teacher in our office. new blood. lol hopefully he/she will be nice and can speak some english :]

its good to be back. lol
