Mt. Vesuvius

After visiting Pompeii we headed to Mt. Vesuvius where we would climb it! there were these piles of sticks at the base of the volcano. we decided it was there for a reason and that it would most likely be a good idea to get one. turns out, it was a great idea! it was so hot that day and hiking up a volcano wasn't the best idea but those sticks helped a lot!

i can honestly tell people that i climbed an active volcano! =D

Lulu and i climbed it all the way to the top. my mom stopped where the crater was and so did Kat. Lulu was disappointed because she thought there was gonna be lava! LOL! silly girl! it would've been pretty cool if there was molten lava there but if there was, they probably wouldn't have let us hike it...

all along the trail there were these religious things left behind by people. i didnt really stop to look at them. i was more concerned about the heat and making it to the top... mom stopped a bit to read them though.
