right when we got there, there was tons and tons of busses and people everywhere. it was pretty chaotic. i dont remember how we even managed to stay with our tour guide. we climbed up a bit and eventually got to the ruins. it was super hot that day and i was already annoyed of all the people but i really wanted to see Pompeii and re-learn its history.
what made it not so fun was the huge amount of tourists everywhere, but i guess that was to be expected. not only that but Pompeii is so big that you cant see everything in 1 day. our tour guide showed us the main attractions where it was convoluted with people. one thing for sure though: i will never take a stroller with me to any ancient ruins. no matter what. it was just ridiculous seeing all the strollers on cobblestones...
we went inside one of the houses. it got so crowded that we lost lu. not really, she just got stuck behind a pillar or corner..
i wanted to see everything but… of course i couldn't. there were these barred walls along one side of a huge wall with loads of people looking in. turns out that's where the excavators were keeping the relics that they uncovered. seeing the shells of the people who perished with the lava made it worthwhile i guess. it was pretty sad seeing the shells and just seeing the emotion on their faces.

we went into another house. this time the house was outdoors. what's weird with this house was the encased shell of two people. im guessing they found them in this house?
