After driving for hours, we finally arrived in Verona around 7pm.
Verona is such a beautiful town. its lively and the buildings are exactly what i expected. cobblestone paths and narrow streets buzzing with tourists.
our first stop was Juliet’s house. i had a few letters i had to leave behind. =] the entrance to Juliet’s balcony was COVERED with notes!! too bad it was closed so i just left the letters in the mail. made me think of the movie: Letters to Juilet.
After that, I bought my first GELATO! i forgot what flavor it was…. it was a really random/weird mix but it was good.
Piazza dei Signori was filled with tourists/natives just hanging out and enjoying the warm weather. the streets were alive! it was amazing. we were trying to figure out where to go to next...
while walking through the streets, we passed by some pretty creepy if not awesome looking tombs. it belonged to the most famous family from verona.. i forget who they were… -___-
after that my camera decided to die, so i ended up using lulu’s for the rest of the night
we walked to the bridge to kill some time before our dinner reservations. we took pictures and graffitied our names on the stone bridge like every other tourist had done before us. the bridge is a huge hit with teens just hanging out with friends and smoking.

we ate at this family owned restuarant. it cost us 15euro each which included a 2 course set meal of our choice from the menu. i was pretty surprised to see horsemeat and donkey in the menu along with chicken and veal. none of us ordered horsemeat or donkey. lulu ordered the veal though. i stuck to the safe side for this one and ordered pasta. i also ordered a cappuccino since i’ve been pretty much nocturnal the entire time i got to europe. the only time i actually do get some sleep is during the drive to towns. sometihng about the constant mur mur of the car that lulls me to sleep. one thing that did surprise me a lot was the toilets in the restuarant and around Verona. the toilet is basically a modernized hole in the ground. for the love of god, i can not squat that low and would rather hold it in until we got to an Autogrill or the hotel.
11pm - left Verona
on the ride to Germany, lulu charged my camera with her remaining laptop battery.
Midnight - we stopped at a rest stop for 3hrs of snooze time. being the nocturnal me, i ended up watching the blind side with subtitles. dang that cappuccino! lol
