Paestum

The last place we visited before heading back to the US was this small town(?) called Pasteum. Mom was tired so she stayed home with Max and Roxie. I don't know much about Paestum except for what i read on the boards. Which wasn't too much. 
Pasteum was built by the Greek colonists and became an ancient Greek city. It was named after Poseidon, I think. Eventually the Romans took over and re-named it Paestum.
    
i had to do this, it was so tempting
   
the temples were in magnificent shape! i dont know which temple is dedicated to which god/goddess but the ones we saw were for athena, hera, poseidon
  
the moment i saw these giant pillars, i wanted to touch them! soooo since there weren't that many people around, i decided to jump (more like hop) the wooden fence. 
          
once we were back in Naples, we were so hot from being outside that we decided to make Halo Halo! it was perfect for the weather. we had BBQ steak again that night =]
    
the rest of the day we slowly started packing
